Well. . . this was one hell of a journey. First off, before reading this you gotta remember that this novel was uploaded in 2008, so the tropes and actions are not really cliche' based on the amount of xuanhuan novels that came out in the last 10 years. I'll take it a step further and even say that most novels nowadays actually took inspiration from this novel and a few others that basically paved the way for most of the 'cliche' tropes found in the latest popular xuanhuan and qihuan novels. The Mc in this story is the usual cliche protagonist that has things handed to him due to his affiliation with a certain sect - which is pretty much plot armor - not to mention the deus ex machina situations when he is supposed to actually die but SOMEHOW still manages to survive. The romance is. . . let's not get started on that since it doesn't even deserve to be considered romance as he literally bumps into women and they fall head over heels for him. . not to mention the "small" reverse r*pe incident which *births* a lot of trouble later on. . As for the actual plot, I gotta say its decent, but it has a LOT of plotholes - some of which are really bad. Not the best story but a pretty good one all things considered.

I personally like this novel especially MC firm character throughout the journey. Fights are explosive, minimum romance and focus on his Dao is my cup of tea.

The novel could have been so much better, I like the rivalry it portrayed between the 5 great sects and the growth of MC character. But story itself is messed up. I wouldn't recommend this to a new reader

It's not that bad, and that was a good read so i'll give it 4/5 overall Mc is not dumb like other cultivation novels but he is not very smart I don't like romance

Overall, so far, I really like it. Sure, the beginning was kind of messed up and confusing, but if you read enough of it (unlike some people), you'll understand that it tremendously helps the MC's character development. Sure, the writing quality isn't the best, but it's still good. I'm really looking forward to more. You are welcome, author.

The beginning is pretty nice and has a nice development but at some point it gets boring, is all the time the same stuff. And in my opinion there are too many girls that love MC, if just some of them where males and friendas to help and folow him the novel whould be better, he is almos all the time surrounded by people yet alone. But if you have no problem with that its a nice read overall, just turn off your brain.

I just completed reading, and. . . it was a bumpy ride. The most annoying thing of all has to be that the author simply suffers of amnesia, either that or the translator writes whatever he wants — but that's probably not the case since even the translator leaves some notes correcting the author in some chapters. There's simply way too many plot holes, even if you don't want to find one and is just reading casually, you will end up noticing. Aside from that, the novel suffers from the "unreasonable syndrome" problem. Let's just say that if there's 100 characters, then 99 are straight up imbeciles that think with their butts. Character development is very poor, and that's mainly because of the author's amnesia — he even forgets the name of one of the wives at the end and changes it, can't be more laughable than that. Also, forget the tag "romance", because as I said above, the author just forgets about the characters and they appear once every 1k chapters for 2 lines of dialogue. The MC is alright I guess, he could be considered what sort of saves this novel from being garbage. . . Shrug
