Tales of Demons and Gods

I ended up here after reading the manhua of this story. Back then, the manhua reached the Gathering Deity's Lakes Arc. Since I was very eager to know how the story continues, I started to read the light novel, from which this manhua is based on. After some time I managed to reach the latest novel chapter available, which is Chapter 496: Locking on Space. The novel wasn’t finished yet, but it has been years since an new chapter has been released, so I went to the Tales of Demons and God’s wiki and looked for the problem. It turns out that the author created his own company and devotes his time to the operation of the company as well as the animation and comics of "Tales of Demons and God’s", so he does not have much time to devote to the novel. Later on, I realised that this novel basically has been dropped. I found this out on December 2023. Anyways, on 21. 01. 2024 the manhua finally catched up to the novel and I’m writing this review to spread awareness so that other people can continue the story if they want by reading the manhua. As for this novel, I definitely recommend to read it, since this story was an enjoyable read for me. This story has an interesting cultivation world, an smart, honest and sometimes naughty MC who uses his knowledge from his regression to life a different life and protect those he cares about, while simultaneously changing the world for the better as well. This MC gets progressively stronger during the novel and most of the time has a trick up his sleeve to turn the tables. If the summary hasn’t hooked you already, then I hope my review does as this hidden gem is worth a read. Don’t get discouraged, because of the low ranking of this novel as the manhua always used to be in the top 10 in most sites. Just give this novel a try and see if it’s your cup of tee. I bet you will get hocked once you manage to reach the first 25-50 chapters.

It's enjoyable, but the fact that the MC always be lucky and find rare things easily. it's not really my favorite type of novel but I still enjoyed it. World building was great. Characters development were also great. The plot twist meh not that impressive. The downside is that it stopped

This novel is great as long as you can get through the first 100ish chapters as the story becomes more than each characters b**b size but really no the I binged the last 100 chapters in less than 3 days and I was left wanting another chapter sadly thought the author dropped the Novel however the manhua is going yo contine with input from the author so don't worry about not having an ending this novel is peak so you won't regret reading it

I hate these kinda stories that emphasize how much MC loves ONE woman and will only love her in this life and is playing with other womens b**bs the next chapters. I enjoyed this when I read it the first time but rereading this after reading hundreds of books in the same genre makes me realize and see the shortcoming of this novel. For example, the first hundred chapters would be 30 chapters if you remove the author describing how soft to touch the women are and how the twin peaks marvelously jiggle or how the soft white legs contour the foots majesty. So cringe.

I didn't know it was here. Anyway, As far i can remember this was my first Chinese novel. I remember reading it and one day it got dropped. That was so sad man. I later found it's comic since have been following it. A few more chapters and the comic surpass the novel. Can't wait for it. I'm pretty sure this was the novel that introduced the whole time travel cliche to CHINESE NOVELS.

I discover this one thanks the manhua that fortunately is really good as the book. So you can read this novel or you can read manhua, it’s the same, same dialogs, same scenes, just the manhua contains drawings and I think it’s better. Mc is not op, he is very clever, genius because he is back from the future (it’s not a spoiler!! It’s literally the first line of novel) And want to change the future. So He helps his friends and want to save his city and other things that I can’t say because this one it’s spoiler. Anyway in this book you’re going to read a lot of strategy, a genius mc, he helps his friends and family, actually helps quite everyone. This novel is not officially complete, what a shame, last chapters are not quite good as the others, hope the author will finish it one day

I love it. Came here from the Manhua (or Manhwa?) to "complete" the read. But I was devastated to realize that there won't be any updates anymore. Hopefully the Comic will go on without the original story (like with Urban Immortal Cultivator).

I was initially a manga reader, and this book is equally as good as the manga. Nie Li, our main character, is a rebirth cultivator (before rebirth stories became popular). He's OG, and the tribulations of his previous life have given him the opportunity to do it all over again, but this time as an amazing badass. I definitely suggest this book to everyone from 13 to 14. There are certain passages that are more appropriate for mature readers, but nothing that readers of the specified age should be concerned about. Thank you so much, Mad Snail. Your comic and book will live on in my heart for quite a long time.

The novel is interesting, but it is unfortunate that the author dropped the novel. Although from time to time I go to see if any chapter is updated. . . as they say out there. . . hope is the last thing that is lost

The book is very interesting and I have read it many times. I like the main character and the characters that feel. I advise you to read it at least once because the plot is good.
