Reading comments outraged by made-up *nc*st, written racism and fake xenophobia is a great prelude to the novel itself. Now, let's dive in and see if the novel has the actual metric we should be looking at - an entertaining story and well-executed kingdom-building.

The third girl really put me off, like dont get me wrong i dont have any issues with harem. But this girl is too dumb/naive and she doesnt care about any consequences that falls on those who helped her. I mean they are hinting at her being some navy general at this point but still. I hate how linde has to be worried about her when she has done so much for the mc.

Everyone is saying there is *ns*st in this, so I have question. Is *ns*st between direct family or some distant cousin or something? Because I can look past it if it were to be later scenario, but I don't want to read some real sweet home alabama sh*t.

Its revealed that technically they are cousins, but they were raised as close siblings, and act like it for their entire lives. They are already basically in a relationship before they know the truth

Haven't read this novel in a while, but if I remember one of the love interests starts off as the MC's little sister, but they end up figuring out she is like a 1st degree cousin or something.

I would love for him to adapt N*zi uniforms and even the symbols just for the fit but minus the ideology, cuz let's be honest, ww2 germans have the coolest drip!

Adolf Dripler is way cooler than Joseph Ballin.

Still one of the best 'kingdom building' stories. Admittedly it did start to fall off a bit after the end of the Japan arc, but at that point the story was starting to wind down towards it's conclusion. The first 600-800 chapters are really strong so the last half/third had a lot to live up to.

Adela is 12 when he is engaged to her after both their fathers made that decision. He only does it with her after they get married tho. Now, I don't remember if they got married at 16 or 18, so that may be the part you are talking about. However, that's in like 1421 or something. And MC did not REPLACE his body's original inhabitant but MERGED With him. So he half operates on 15th century morals, in which doing a 16 yo you are legally married to is fine, because that was generally the legal age then. Of course that's 'morally wrong' from 21st century morals pov but you just cannot apply that here. By the way, even now 30 of the US states have their age of consent set at 16 so that would be legal even now

Peacefully of old age. ⛔⛔Huge Spieler below⛔⛔ . . . . . . . . . . . Though he will later be reunited with all his wives and descendants in a personal afterlife made for his family by Odin. (We don't see that tho. The Novel ends with him waking up in said afterlife.)

As you go further in the story does the quality of the writing drop?

In Grammar no. The quality of these Storyitself also not really. But it gets more extreme the longer it goes on as the MCS gets corrupted by his power/position a bit. Chapter 629 is basically when he goes full chaotic evil for a bit. After that it gets less extreme. (629 is Colonialization and he was Cortezmaxxing hard)

So. Gonna re-read this one for the 4th time, now with account. It's a great novel, however, I suggest for all non Europeans to keep a 1500 Europe map at hand. Also yes there is *nc*st and yes the Mc is a little racist. HOWEVER, for some of the main racist things, you should just know that uniting humanity is impossible because Humans will always divide into two groups if there are none. So it's better to have 5 countries that compete than 1 big one that collapses from the inside (looking at you there USA), And also that many of the modern "nice" politics don't work in the long run. Now back to the actual racism, the Author works a lot with the concept of "Power corrupts". This is very clear throughout the book. He also made clear (on discord) that the racist stuff isn't completely his opinion but is supposed to be from his body's original inhabitants side, which is logical for a 1500's noble. Overall it's a great book, for people who think. To people disliking, keep rejecting logic 😁
