I have to rate this 3. 5 but since theres no such thing in this site/app, I just rounded it up. The early chapters hook me up and makes me feel really empty when I finished the novel. It was good but it become boring in the end. The idk if I can call that a plot twist, but yeah it was not good. The ending is bittersweet. I have read the previous works of this author and he always make the same bitter sweet ending. That's why he was hated and even receiving death threats when he wrote the ending/side stories of the novel extra. I have also seen the monster novel of his. There was always this self sacrificing of mc in the end and then the women that fall for him would hate him for some reason until they discovered the truth and regretted it.

I have to admit this novel is very good until you start seeing its fatal flaws. I especially enjoyed the earlier chapters. That is until you find out the author just keeps spamming love-hate relationships, trying to squeeze out emotions from the viewers. Then it just gets annoying and the characters become puppets to fulfill the author's intentions. The trick may work on some, but for me personally it just ruined the entire story.

I didn't realize this was a drama when I started reading and full disclosure I really dislike drama genre. Ok, but the setting is fantasy and magic which I do like and the writing was at a pretty high level so I read it all anyway. Honestly, a pretty good read. 4 stars. Below are why not 5 star. 1. Writing was too emotional. This is just my taste, but although emotional writing is necessary, it's just a bit over done here. 2. Last 5 chapters were MTL 3. The ending wasn't rushed or anything, but I thought it was like a 3 star ending. The rest of the book carried tho 4. Some conversations it was difficult to follow who is talking 5. Some scenes start and end without a transition, it may even be hard to tell who the focus is on or where the action is taking place etc. 6. Some stuff didn't translate well the author does some play on words type stuff like how to, too, two sound the same but mean different. It's just nitpicking, but it's the difference between 4 or 5 stars. It's a good book. It gets 4 stars. If you like drama it's worth a read.

It was a such a good ride, some boring moments, some crazy moments, but through all the story, there were feelings, . The End was fitting ( butchered by the MLT translation, murderer ), and it was very satisfying, the MC was good enough, the FMLs are well developed. All in all, Great Story ! Recommended !

I finally finished reading this. It would have been a good read had the laters chapters didn't change translations. The author focuses more on character relationships and the author really does a good job at portraying emotions. Ending felt a bit rushed but nonetheless it is a good read.

The ending although I already knew from the comments it's still made feel bitter. I was always looking forward what the author would make ELEGANT for our MC. Honestly, this sh*t made me laugh and cry at the same time because it was kinda ridiculous if think about it but 🤡 its very enjoyable.

Honestly, I wish I could give it a 3. 25 - 3. 75 rating. Since I'm not able to, i gave it a 4 instead. I do want to give it a 3 because of this one issue, but I'm not going to. Novel deserves better. It's a good read. Nothing too crazy, but overall good. You got your likeable characters, intriguing setups, fun misunderstandings. You end up wishing to see Deculein and the people around him grow. It's spoiled however by its translation. Really messed it up. First quarter is decent. The typical decent translations you get for a light novel, not good, not bad, just decent. Then, it becomes annoying. Not that the translations are terrible, there's soooo many light novels in this and other sites that have the worst translations I've ever read. It's not unreadable trash is what I'm trying to say. What makes this one annoying though is that because you tend to enjoy this story's premise, the translations is due to infuriate you more. What used to be a fun read to pass the time becomes a jarring mess. You find yourself thinking about how much better it would've been had the translations been more precise. If the team behind it actually proof read and understood basic vocabulary and sentence structures. I'll give a small tidbit of an example. When referring to a monarch, a King or Queen, in the third person, you say 'His/Her Majesty'. When speaking directly to one, you refer to them as 'Your Majesty'. The translation team did not understand that. They used 'Your Majesty' in every single setting. Whether the Queen was there or not. So if they got something as easy as that wrong, think of how much other sh*t they got wrong. Keep in mind, the characters in this novel are supposed to be intelligent. Deculein is the epitome of class, of etiquette and how nobility should act. He should know the ins and outs of everything really. Its part of his character. So when the translation falls apart, so too does the immersion. Those little tidbit mistakes add up again and again, and keep repeating, over and over. Never being corrected to the point where you start to think if it's actually being translated by real people or by Google translate or another type of AI. There's run off sentences, missing sentences, and shoddy dialogue too because of the translation team. I'll give you another example, every time the term 'death variable' is mentioned, somehow 3 or 4 sentences after the term 'death' goes missing. So you end up losing a ton context. Death variables are really important to the story so you miss a chunk of context. With dialogue, the translation team are so unbothered they turn it simple as time goes by. "What is that?" "That is my thing, " "Your thing?" "Yes my thing, " "I knew that was your thing, " "How?" "Do you even need to ask? I know. " This an exaggeration^ but it sure as hell close to that. They simplify everything. Makes you want to smack your head into a wall.

It was a bittersweet read. I really loved the initial premise of the story and the entire world building. Though there were some hiccups here and there with the plot, I'd say it's still a good read. The initial bad translation of a few chapters and the final few MTL chapters kinda ruined the overall impact the story would have left on anyone reading it. Regarding the ending I got mixed feelings about it. Let's say I'm not really satisfied with how it ended but I don't hate the ending either. Thank you for such a wonderful story.

This novel was like every other novel from this author, masterpiece but the ending always seems rushed and just doesn't hit the spot you hoped it would. Nonethless good novel that I recommend.
