Im just starting here chapter 23 and my impressions so far is yeah, doing everything in backflash not the right move for the book. It was like we were giving a spoiler from the get go. Would have been a better journey without the knowledge of everyones fate. I get what the author is doing though. Real time support of this girl while he relives his own journey floor by floor.

If you're here after finishing Chapter 190 of the manhwa start at Chapter 169.

amazing especially when he gets close to floor 60 he becomes somewhat of a magic scholar very well written but as soon as he gets out of the tutorial it becomes trash but up till then solid 9/10 good enough to read until it falls off

Can someone tell me when it stops being flashbacks? I want to skip to when it's 'present time' in the story.

That’s a terrible idea the flashbacks are like 70% of the story and context

Giving POV context is too hard - Author probably

For everyone coming from the manhwa, the chapter you stopped reading the manhwa at is roughly the same as the chapter to start reading here at. Jump ~5 back to start your search and adjust as needed.

I'm reading the manhwa and found out the novel has ended. Can anyone give me ideas on where I should read to continue? The girl he was teaching has reached the 17th floor and was finishing the fight with his doppelganger.

Scroll through the chapters and you should be able to find Floors listed in chapter titles

The problem is that the girl is on 17 but he's on the 60th. So in that case, should I use 17 or 60?

He is on the 60th floor since the beginning of the story why would you go to floor 60 when the content you are looking for is floor 17

The novel is incomparable to the manhwa. I was super hyped when I heard about the manhwa, then when it actually came out I was like "what the bloody f*ck is this sh*t"

Absolutely. Honestly I don't think liking or not liking the manhwa would have any effect on your enjoyment of the book since they're so different. From what I read of the manhwa, it did an okay job of getting the events of the story down. But what it MISERABLY failed to do was capture the subtext, the disonnance between the MCs thoughts and reality. The manhwa made this appear as purely an action story, which couldn't be further from the truth. At its core, this is a story about the inner conflict, growth, and flaws of a man who's forced to go through trials tailored to push him to the brink both physically and mentally. Rather than being a story about fighting enemies and clearing floors, it's a story about a man's struggle to stay sane in a world that wishes for nothing other than his breaking. Yes, it's also a story with a lot of action, but if you take ONLY the action, it's the same as if you compare a beautiful painting to a rough sketch of that painting.

Okay the novel seems kinda hard to read after the experience that was the manwha.
