    I got to chapter 73, and it's so meh. Nothing interesting happens, it's just life happening. There's no one to hate. Things just happen without any purpose. This is as far as I go.

      I agree. I got to 253 but it's still meh Character's are still not fleshed out. Dana is now like a side character. Random mentions of his parents without introduction. Meh. Rating: 5.8

    If you are into action and suspense or growth and progression this is not for you. Very chill atmosphere. As others have said very slice of life focused.

        No, it's just that once upon a time when MC's party was going to go on a possibly long term excursion, someone bought too many condoms for him just cuz. There's only one love interest in the story so far (ch 865) and it doesn't seem likely for it to become a harem at this point tbh. MC has a core team and it's made up of himself and 4 girls and this team's been together since like ch 200s probably or somewhere around there. And after all this time, there's only been a romantic relationship with one girl. One of the others has been hinted to be possibly attracted to someone else, one is a hyper adhd person who probably hasn't even thought of romance for herself and one has been regularly beating up any male who makes advances towards her. Also there's no explicit r18 content in the story. The MC and his gf have physically intimacy but it's always just mentioned in one line and then the story moves on.

        Fr? Why does he only have girls in his party? Is this like record of mortals journey to immortality where the stroys characters are 98% womans and where ever Mc go he will find himself with a woman?

        It just be that way. There are many male chars who are their friends and team up with them for missions and stuff, just the core group is mostly girls. His first two beasts are also males so it's not like there aren't any other permanent male characters besides MC.

        The beasts are quite unconventional and interesting in this story. One of his beasts (his 2nd/3rd) (he got the eggs of his 2nd and 3rd beast together in the same excursion) was a species I very much expected to not enjoy reading about but the author did a great job and my opinions were fairly quickly changed. If you wanna know the basic species of all his beasts so far I can tell you in a spoiler marked comment, though I won't mention their growth/evolution versions since it'd be more fun to just read about it.

        Nah no need.. It is more interesting to read it firsthand... I'll give this a try and read first 100 or so chapters and see if it suits my taste

        The starting school arc is very slice-of-life type since they're... in school... and the author doesn't put any rivalry etc nonsense in there. Many people have found this to be a bad thing and disliked the novel because of it so i'll give you a fair warning on it. Though there is a very good justification for why the school arc is so chill but apparently ppl don't like logic after being too used to nonsensically high stakes school lives in other stories. Once Karl and co. get sent to missions, the pacing changes completely.

        A chill school arc without any stupid stuff?? Sign me in... I'm too tired of reading the same stuff rewritten in different forms... Academy arc without rivalry would be something fresh, I guess. I cannot care less about the peoples disliking novel... I've seen enough of them to know that I should just ignore them for a peaceful reading or I'll never be able to find anything to read.

        I'm just mad because I liked the manhua the record of a mortals journey to immortality but I can't start reading bcz it's made up of 98% female beauties and 1.9% his male enemies and 0.1% rest males I want to start this since I saw it get a ip award or something, 😊, thanks

        There's definitely a lot of male characters in the story you don't have to worry about that. If you haven't started then I'll give you the heads up the first several chapters (like probably over a 100) are more of a slice of life nature so if you're not into that you might think the story is really boring. Once they head out on their first major mission though, things ramp up very quickly and you pretty much never get back to the slow pace of early chapters. I personally think it's a nice way of writing slowly when the overall situation is chill and having a fast paced story telling format when sh*ts going down but there are a lot of people who dislike the pacing of early chapters.

    I've read 56 chapters so far, and the MC hasn't faced any real problems, his academy life is just sunshine and rainbows. There's no suspense or excitement. Is this novel even worth reading? Plus, every chapter feels like an info dump instead of having actual fights.

      After 100-150 it's better but it's all slice of life type of action (he kills an ogre with a swing then next chapter they're chilling at camp or travelling), there wont ever be suspense in this novel tbh. This dynamic is set once 2nd and 3rd beast join him. It's not like a usual cultivation or whatever and its not exactly high quality, the later dynamic is alright slice of life I guess.
