After re-read, Ican finally put on words why i found the ending so unsatisfactory. Rein falls for Ellen pretty early. Its not that obvious cause he is generally flirty and playfull, but she is the one he acts tsun towards and spends caring and doing "My wife is going to kill me!" jokes. But Ellen doesnt like lies. And Rein(Even outside of his secrets) lies as he breaths. Maybe they werent meant for each other. But problem is first half of the novel is them stuck at "less than lovers" since the darklands. And after everything goes to sh*t they just spend years just longing for each other. Just for it to become so... lukewarm at end. It feels even frustrating the amount of development that goes into basically nothing. And the rest of the romance doesnt help either. When it went nowhere with harriet until they forced Valier to marry everyone it just becomes sad. I mean, Charlotte doesnt even have a kid with him! It just feels empty.

I checked out the manha cause i felt nostalgic, but could deal with actually reading the novel again... and i found it surprisingly well adapted... But, at the same time fails miserably, at being "The demon lord goes to the academy". It has an actually good pacing and story progresion, but the slice of life, this series core and heart, gets abandoned along the way. It might have made the story more dragged out, and the pacing way worse. But it made you actually build up character relationships that make you care about them. Now i might want to re-read... ughhh.

Fr i loved the slice of life part every character was fleshed out and there wasn’t anyone lacking. I hated it when the story took the dark turn so just dropped it there

I have enjoyed this novel. There is a lot of psychology and self overcoming. Unfortunatelly there is not much spicy action, even tho there could have been more. I wish there was an alternative where Reinhard was not exposed an actually graduated the Temple. 8/10 - If you just like slice of life, magical school stuff, drop before the whole Gate shenanigans happen

it's almost ironic in that the in story protagonist said he originally ruined his story with the portal invasion halfway in so now he has to fix it. and half way through when the portal invasion happens the story goes to sh*t. it's so ironic that it almost feels on purpose even if it probably wasn't.

I need someone to tell me. From the chapters 260+ (that's where I stopped as TL quality dropped so hard..) has the translation improved?

It does improve. It was terrible for a good while but it picks back up.

It's an interesting concept. I got about half way through before calling it quits. It's an incredibly frustrating light novel. I'd say give it a go if you want. It's interesting enough but the MC is very indecisive when it comes to relationship building. There's a lot of things going on but at the same time, it almost feels like nothing is happening. Lot's of plot twists. Probably too many in my opinion. It's overall convoluted and it appears the author doesn't really go hard in any one direction. It's pulling in a lot of different concepts but does none of them very well. A jack of all trades kind of thing. It's good enough to read but that's about it. 3/5 if I had to rate it. It's probably not worth is current ranking which is under 100 at the moment. It's a recently completed light novel and I believe with some time, it will be pushed out of the top 100 and fall around the 200-300. It's decent but it's not top 100 decent. Just my two cents! XD

My review: It was fun at first, got boring and I gave up somewhere during my time on the Demon Continent as an adventurer, I was especially upset that there were so many quests in the academy that were eventually just ignored after appearing. And the system then just became almost useless. It left me with a feeling of an absolute waste of the novel's potential, and I wanted to write a remake someday.
