To those who were stopped because of all the racism n patriotism comment, don't. The novel itself is not bad, plus the author really does a good chunk of research. Heck, I even learned some new stuff. Sure there's racism n patriotism here n there, but that's like not watching all the Marvel movies just because there's captain America. Overall 6.5/10 . Chauvinism put a bad taste in my mouth, but the academia/science setting is a little tempting... Edit: decided to read. First chapter shares similarities with a bad manhua I read in the past. Update: went to check the tag for any harem, thankfully there's not, though there is a romance subplot. Accidentally found the adapted to manhua, "oh no," i thought, went to check. "Yup, it's that one." It's the manhua I'm talking about previously (i think it's called Black Tech system or something). Decided to stay reading as bad adaptation also happened to lotm, so i don't judge too soon(I'm coping here). That adaptation is insane, the system has a girl avatar(there aren't any in the novel), and you guessed it, skimpy outfit. Just barely ch1 and I quit.
Typical chinese urban novel with tons of nationalism, at this point I don't think there's any novel without it in the urban genre for the translated ones.

In the universe of the novel, you'll likely be killed if you mention that Taiwan is a country. It straight up ignores the fact that most Chinese innovations are just stolen tech they "obtained" through espionage since it's cheaper than actual R&D, and most academic papers published in China are over 90% fraudulent works rubber-stamped due to nepotism.
This was one of the novel, which helped me study. I would be always motivated to study after reading this butthe author had to add to racism and other bs... :(
This is a magnificent novel about science and technology, even if it is a little racist. I advise you to stop at chapter 1414, because it's all cr*p from there.
The author surely done a lot of research to write this novel. Beautifully done. I especially love the last 200 chapters.
A "romantic subplot" being together with "dense protagonist" tag screams a yellow flag to me. How bad is it? I'd rather read no romance at all rather than this b*llsh*t "dense protagonist"
dang i remember writing paragraphs of complaints here before the great reset. tbh no matter hm I disliked the patriotism remarks of the author, this is the only novel that motivates me when it comes to studying lmf**. i want that kind of a plug-in too.
