After being reborn in the ancient times before the Great God-Conferment War, Li Changshou becomes a minor cultivator. He is neither destined for great things nor great woe. His only dream is to live a long life as a cultivator. In order to survive in the cruel Primordial Times, Li Changshou tries hard not to accumulate any karma—killing inevitably leads to feuds.
Thus, he always plans thoroughly before doing anything and never allows himself to walk into dangerous situations. He hides his trump cards well, trains himself in escape techniques, refines poisonous pills, and masters his mystical abilities. Before making any moves, he takes on an extremely steady demeanor. Yet, every move of his ends up earth-shattering. Once he is done, he will disappear without a trace.
Li Changshou originally plans to remain hidden and safe in the mountain. There, he is supposed to cultivate until he ascends to immortality. However, everything changed one year when his master seems to think that their lives are too peaceful… He takes in a junior sister…

This is not an action based story. It is the story of a guy that tries to survive and become stronger in a world he is transmigrated to. It is more about schemes and survival. The MC is very 'Stable' in his character from the start to the finish. So if you like this MC's character you will like the novel, otherwise it won't be your cup of tea. The quality of the novel will raise at least a level or two just with one thing - Just label the pronouns correctly and you can overlook most of the TL errors.
I read that novel some year ago. What I remember in a good way is that the mc is really smart, and not described in an artificial way like so often by many author. Also, it can be confusing but also interesting because of the background lore of Journey to the West. The novel isn't just inspired, it takes place in the same world. I never read Journey to the West, maybe it would make the read of this novel even better, as if you read a good fanfic of a classic like Lord of the Rings.
fellow cultivators i am a poision tester and this demonic scripture is too strong for me. I've went into qi deviation just from reading the first few chapters, do not read it. the mc is a pedo
how strong is the mc at the end and will he stop being so paranoid all the time
How specific does the author go about the cultivation here? I see some sht about Journey to the west and investiture and a lot of the times they just ride off the coatt ails of those novels…
I just wanna explain the Harem Tag, because a lot of people are usually put of by that. This isnt the normal Harem, there are only 2 girls that both end up with the mc. They both get there share of character development and dont have been with each other. This won't have that Harem feeling because One of the Girl has a 1 sided crush on the mc till almost the end so she isn't really seen as the fl. While the romance with the other one is developed throughout.

My fellow brothers. This is the first time I am reading with a ranking of 100+. They said the MC is similar to Han Jue in Top Tier Providence. Wish me luck!
I read 15 chapters and this novel is definitely my type... Mc does not entangle needlessly with beautiful women and does not get into trouble. Mc is smart. Overall I like this
Just finished reading this novel, the mc is overly cautious about karma and is quick witted as wel as secretly overpowered. I would rate it an 8/10. Does anyone have recommendations for novels like this.
Find out when the first brother came to the protagonist's room and touched the trap. I want to read it again but I can't find it.
