From Tales of the Reincarnated Lord to fantasy kingdom builders like Game of the World Tree (also peak). This novel isn't perfect but it is undoubtedly one of the best kingdom building historical novels I have ever read. The author has obviously spent a lot of time researching the historical period of the novel and the development and world building is top tier. This is one of the favorite top 5 novels of all time. Anyone considering reading this, please give it a shot. It's amazing and the payoff when he finally becomes a powerhouse is extremely satisfying. This novel checks all of the boxes when it comes to kingdom building, even focusing on mercantile trade, rations, army formations, education and everything. The side characters are fleshed out and great as well.

The best kingdom building novel on this website without a doubt. The grammar is a bit eh, but you quickly get used to it. The author exhibits a deep knowledge of Ancient Greece, which further magnifies the realism of the novel. If you’re a fan of kingdom building, this novel is definitely something you should check out!

Great novel , it should be in top 10. Greatly underrated , at least read 200 chapter . Very thrilling and learning experience and give understanding of old civilization . It's need over support so it can reach to other people .

Amazing world building, great character development and nice pace of the story but bad grammar which ruins the flow of the story. Prevents us from getting absorbed in the story.

This novel is certainly one of the best that delivers kingdom building, every conservation and action scenes have a undescribable feeling to it that you won't get reading on other novels that has the same genre. All in all it may have some flaws in the beginning but later on it'll get better and one more good thing is that, this story doesn't just solely focus on Davos but even the people around him which gives them more personality and life.

This is a great read and something I would highly recommend especially if you like historical novels. Author has vast knowledge about the history of ancient Greece and the Mediterranean Sea. Beware of info dumps here and there.

I read this a while ago it is one the best kingdom-building/historical novels I have read. in the first half of the novel, the world-building was somewhat bad but later on it improved a lot. I also really like the main character's personality.

Great for people who like the history. Great characters and world building. As someone who like history but doesn’t know to much about the Mediterranean history it was still a great read. Might be difficult at the start because of numberous name and places that are mentioned. Had to do a little research everytime.

this is a unique tipe of story, the chosen period of the story is very interesting and new in historical Ln/Wn. The mc is intelligent and lucky and can use at his favor some event to improve his position. The worldbuilding is awesome. 8. 5/10

Great kingdom-building novel. Unique in location and time period, as there are almost no novels about ancient Greece and early Rome. The strongest elements are politics and military aspects. Less focus is put on characters and modern technology. The MC is not the best there is, but he fulfills his purpose and acts like a grown man should. Recommend for every Total War: Rome fan
