    Guys, can I read this if I haven't read the other books? I didn't get past chapter 50 of Sword God because others said it's only suffering and bad, and I haven't read Lightning.

    For those who aren't very familiar with the lore behind why the author is announcing this, basically, last year the author was still publishing two chapters daily during the first half of the year. However, around April to June, due to financial pressures and stress, he tried to off himself. Thankfully, he recovered and managed to get a stable job, but of course, this reduced the chapter output to just one. In the second half of the year, towards the end, he either got married or engaged to his partner (doesn't really matter much now since they're already married), and it seems his situation has been stabilizing little by little. I couldn’t be happier that he is doing well now and finally going back to publishing two chapters a day starting in February. I’ve been waiting for this for almost a year. (copy paste of some guy named "rayitotuamor" not from this site)

      Don’t know if this is true or just rumors but I can see it making total sense !! I’ve said from the get go the author is depressed and messed up in the head… you can clearly see it from how he created Nick. I’m glad he’s doing better ( again if true ) … but hr needs stop putting his personal problems into stories.

        I mean I’m just stating my opinion…. But now that you mention it I do find it quite funny that die hard fans of this author ( like the guy above ) go absolutely insane if you say ANYTHING bad about his novels. I mean I love G3 and SS but I’m not going defend something if I think it’d bad… but some of the people that support this author are so crazy it’s funny. With that said I do love the authors work in regard to his power system, world building, and fights… I even liked the majority of the the MCs in his other 2 novels. However Nick I absolutely hate … he really is worst mc I’ve seen written. Nevertheless I’m going stack for a year and come back then.

        Of course he’s free write however he wants and I can bet this is EXACTLY how he vents. That’s my whole point though… Try making a normal mc and not one that so emotionally messed up for once. Sure he can be crazy and ruthless… but making him cry and be hypocritical is not fun to read.

        Haha thanks for support . I don’t really mind them trashing or arguing about SS… just give some good reason why don’t like it or sunny. That’s all I’m doing here. Just expressing I wish the author never made nicks personality how it is. Even so I’ll come back in about a year probably get mad at Nick for doing something dumb again tell everyone and have the whole community after me again hahah 😂.
