Not only is he relatable, funny, easy going, annoying others reciting sh*t from his previous life, he also has character depth from his past, reasons for his actions and doesn't stay oblivious once everything is clear to him. Theres constant jumping from happy to angst to happy to angst and HE! The ML- is so sweet mannnnnn he's so devoted and sweet, just the right amount of jealous, caring and loving!! Not only that, the side characters are also so fcking loveable and even the so called villains, you can't hate them. The position of both mc and ml is very complicated. This thing, however much we and mc tries to ignore, it cannot be ignored and heavily impacts them and everyone around them. Just same, the fated things, the will of the heavens cannot be ignored. Despite so much pain, pining, love and self sacrifice we get a Happy Ending!!!! Wooooo

Honestly, I read the manhua of this instead the novel. I very much enjoyed how the MC and ML interacted. The MC was amazing and I really liked it. This was a BL a read in one of my earlier days and I don't remember much, but I thought I'd write a review since it is so memorable. Although it has aa basic plot, it's fun and entertaining

The story is spectacular, full of intrigue passions and the comedy part is hilarious (MC in particular). The characters are well done and developed not only the main CP, the side characters too, found myself grow fond of some of them as much as for the mains.

This quickly became my favorite BL!!! Hope they can make it into a movie that would be amazing. I enjoyed the MC and ML I’m glad there were no side female dramas this is why I love BL novels. Finished this in one day ❤️

So awesome, I loved it. . . The romance build up to passionate scene to heart wrenching sub plots. . . I don't find story tragic, but love story midst of war with causality. . . Great work on translation. . . I hope I don't tranmigrate as monarch 😉

SOOOOO GOOD!!!! I’m not even kidding it has everything you want in a novel (specifically talking about baihe. It has baihe and Danmei, comedy, angst, and a great plot.

I read this a few months ago but I dropped it in the middle because of how sad it became. I finished it this time and although the sadness was still there, it was written and translated excellently and I absolutely recommend it for everyone looking for a good read.

Phew- what a ride. The characters are fleshed out, and they seem to have a consciousness of their own. It gets better as the chapters progress. It got me from smiling like an idiot, to having butterflies, to making me cry. Read this. Right now. Just read it. You won't regret it. Promise.
