Epoch of Twilight

This story had potential, but it was destroyed by the MC being a pedophile, who gets excited by a 14 year old girl kissing and touching him. Thats just nasty.

I read this before the wipe, and it was one of my top reads. The story it 10/10 up until the final arc, where it starts to drag and some things don’t make much sense. The rest of the story is well thought out and has great storytelling. I won’t go into detail as I don’t want to have to mark this for spoiler, but it lays out the initial post apocalyptic setting very well and transfers into a different type of story near the latter half, which I found very refreshing. It does become sci-fi part of the way through in addition to the already power-fantasy setting. Character development was nice, and I enjoyed the settings and scenarios presented.

As someone who read the whole novel in 4 months. I would like to say that I definitely liked it. I liked that the mc was a underdog (love underdog stories). I greatly enjoyed the first part of the story and although it got a bit dragged out latter on it is still a solid novel to read. So, if you a want novel with a low profile mc who wants to be the strongest for sake of his loved ones its for you!!!

Not sure why people would 5 star this unless they only read the first 20 chapters. Great beginning but the it instantly falls down hill with the r@pe scenes.

The story is generally a great read. It's a little lacking on the character and world development though. There's a loosely done harem, at least up to where I've read. What I'm not happy about is the main character not investing one or two points into his synthesis skill to see if there will be improvements. Having to lose all attributes to synthesized stuff is a bummer. Perhaps one or two points would allow him to keep some special abilities or at the very least steer his development towards multiple paths. Will update as I progress through the story.

Honestly this novel is very boring and has a really weird sex link that the author wants to put into the novel. The world building is boring as well.

A great history 5 star. that would be my opinion if this did not get out of the way from chapter 353 forward, the surviving apocalyptic atmosphere was completely banished because of the aliens, from there on literally ended as if was another genre of the novel so was a complete deception. but if you are interested in reading it you could read until they reach hope city. anymore from there is not worth

The beginning of the series promised a lot and was a very pleasant read to read until it entered the final stretch which was certainly not pleasant to read the last 100 chapters, it was forced and rushed, if I had followed the line to the chapter 400 would give 10 but still giving credit to the development until that part would give . the author simply isolated the MC to live alone neither calling his dead wives nor before their deaths. staying like that for all eternity, which was contradictory with the beginning of the character that is a bit of lust. the gruesome ending made me skip a few chapters to see the ending soon so I give it 2 stars at the end.

I gave this one a shot cause i enjoy the post-apocalyptic types, and i will say i really enjoyed this one up until chapter 500, when it took a completely different route that had me skipping most of the words and even whole chapters to get to the end. The focus changed, the mood changed greatly, and other just an ending that left much to be desired.
The harem/family that he had built was just completely disregarded in such a disappointing way that no justice was given, quite a let down

A hidden gem, and one of the best ones at that. You will thank me after reading it believe me. Apocalyptic story with a real mc character , excellent world building, really good progression , amazingly real powers, will feel like you yourself are in the apocalyse, keep getting better and better. Highly recommended!!!!!
