Summary

A reoccurring nightmare afflicted Khan’s nights since the Second Impact. His dreams replayed the scenes of the crash of the Nak’s spaceship, an alien race that the humans had defeated five hundred years ago.

Khan’s life had turned upside-down after the tragedy. His mother had died during the incident, and the Nak’s toxic mana had infected him. His father had managed to save him, but they ended up losing their home and name in the process.

The nightmares wouldn’t let Khan forget about the Nak, so he set his mind to join the Global Army and learn to wield mana. He had to put an end to those dreams, even if that meant hunting down that alien race through the stars.

I didn't mind this novel at first but when it focuses on every piece of a relationship just for it to fail, it stinks. When he left Liza the novel dropped hard in my opinion.

For everyone who enjoys this novel, I have another suggestion that is not less interesting if not more interesting than this one ° I Became The Novel's Biggest Antagonist ° Real peak! Give this novel at least 15 chapters

Bro, I totally agree, so far I love that novel. I am also reading "Lord of the Truth". I was annoyed by the MC at first, but the more I read, the better the story got. It's a kingdom-building novel, and the MC may seem carefree or even aimless, but everything takes a brutal turn. Highly recommended

I'm at Chapter 170, and does it get any better? Ever since the start of the Nitis arc, all I've been reading is Khan and Liiza's overly dramatic love story, endless s*x, and, to top it off, Khan's mental breakdown... Their's not any major story development till now... do I continue with this novel and wait for this seggs arc to end or should I just skip to the part where khan leaves nitis...!?

so far it does not. I'm at chapter 351 and don't know if you read more but it gets worse. After the nitis arc he immediately starts f*ck*ng with Delia. Like 2-3 weeks after the Cora breakup. Then leaves Delia without saying anything and becomes a professor and immediately starts getting close to Cora at light speed. And they are dating and having s*x alot. All within like 20 chapters. While in a relationship flirts with Amber, and Martha. Then leaves Cora to go be "a fighter" on millie 22. And the plot is leaning towards Monica now. He feels bad that he hurt someone emotional after just meeting them. And he "instinctally feels" that she's a good person. It seems like I have heard these lines from somewhere? But from what I've read. The romance in Millie 22 takes a nosedive. So it's was bad already, terrible even and becomes an abomination. No downtime between relationships.I don't think I have ever tried to like a novel as hard as possible before

Dramatic Romance And Endless S*x... Endless S*x... Endless... S*x... ?! DOES This Novel Have Sm*t Scriptures?!

      Reply
      • Astral_Void 3

The s*x scenes aren’t graphically described, but once the MC and FML (at least until the end of the Nitis arc) have their first time, they end up having s*x every other chapter. Before that, it was just awkward touching and cringeworthy conversations... The novel was actually bearable until the sm*t-heavy Nitis arc began there had been no major development, just constant s*x, mental breakdowns during intimacy, and all sorts of unnecessary drama... That said, this is just my experience up to chapter 170, I haven't read beyond that, so I can't comment on the later story developments. Someone in my replies mentioned that if you ignore the romance, it’s a good novel, so if you’re willing to take that chance, you can give it a shot...

Well, it will get a lot better but the s*x parts won't really stop, this novel is really a masterpiece, it's a shame the romance f*ck*d it up, if you can tolerate the romance part, then you can enjoy it as it's really good, BTW the romance gets worse and you can't really skip it so cuz it contains all the character devolopment

      • DasBeatz 1

not a masterpiece. We cannot throw such words around at any novel. The romance that takes up half the novel is completely rushed most of the time. Like sure half the novel is a masterpiece and the other half is a dumpster fire

      • Sauada 1

But it is actually true, this novel have so much potential and if you ignored the romance it could've easily gotten in top ranks of the site, the problem with the romance isn't only because its excessive, objectively speaking the romance isn't that bad at first but it accumulates with time to become unbearable, sometimes it's just straight up physical from the beginning of the relationship nothing romantic in the slightest and the author uses the differences in humans and alien feelings as a plot device too much, added with the excessive s*x parts and how he becomes completely dependent on a partner and can't live without one, all adds up to the bad romance

I know everything other than the romance is amazing in my opinion. And you are right about the romance. I only felt weird about Martha and how that went. Again a little weird with Liiza but I eventually grew to accept the partnership until 100 chapters of s*x grew repetitive. Not even a week after the breakup he is with Delia. It gets incredibly toxic and he leaves her behind without saying anything. Then he goes to become a professor and low and behold Cora is there. He's talking bout "I don't want to be a d*ck or hurt her" like bro never puts boundaries down and flirts with everyone. Then complains that he feels "guilty". I wouldn't even mind the sh*tty romance if it didn't take up half the novel. There is no downtime for the romance. Things never progress organically. I would love to call it a masterpiece, but the romance brings it down a few pegs. Again tho, moments without romance is amazing. Just yesterday when I read the ahit about Delia, it made me super angry. Like relax Khan

Yeah you are right, if romance didn't take up half the novel and a very important component in the character devolopment and power scaling it would be fine cuz really who cares if the romance is sh*t when it is just mentioned every once in a while, I thought the thing between him and Martha unnatural but I was okay with it, half of the novels do it like that, then his relationship with Liiza grew on me with time but their break up made little to no sense to me, really if her species get very emotionaly attached she could have waited for him but author does what he wants, and then it just goes really annoying from here, a meaningless fling with Delia that make him feel guilty though she was fine and altruistic about it, then Cora relationship the author didn't actually bother to mention why he accepted the relationship in a way that make sense, I don't know if you got to millia 222 arc or no but God the romance there made me stop to take a very long break, still taking break till now

Yeah and the test he passed to get a tattoo on nitis to show "eternal love." Like the author does not know what love is. If the nitis were truly like that, then Liiza wouldnt have mind waiting multiple years. Especially with how intense the author made it seem. Ngl quite a disappointing novel compared to Birth of a demonic sword. But yeah I'm at the beginning of Millie 22 and I'm already about to give up on this novel and put it mid fast food tier. Like why does he care if he hurt Monica? Yall just met and for God's sake. Put some boundaries down. I simply don't know why ppl call it a masterpiece. If we call bad writing a masterpiece, sh*t writing would become worse and worse. Adhere to truth and call things for what they are. Did you ever get past millie 22? Does the author get better? Also what comments was the author reading. No way in hell he was receiving encouragement. Ehem sorry tho and thanks for the chats.

Np, no I didn't get past millia 222, stopped at ch 445 or sth, I just reached my limit bec of a jerk move he will do, though if you don't mind a little spoiler("" I know for sure that he is going to settle for one person from the end of millia arc till the recent chapters, she is probably the FL at this point"") that's the only thing that is stopping me from just outright dropping it, maybe if he finally stabilize emotionally the author can focus more on the story and maybe just maybe less romance and s*x everywhere

Honestly I didn't mind the spoiler. I probably think it's gonna be Jenna. Like their friends but they are hanging around each other naked and d*mn near cuddling naked as friends. Author is ridiculous ngl. We'll ima bear on reading this ok novel. If he truly settles down then the novel might get better. As long as the romance doesn't continue to.take up half the novel.

I agree with everything they said, I think that the majority of readers abandon it for the same reason, the endless s*x, the caresses and all the romance (many times without apparent meaning) fill half of the chapters until it becomes tedious. I am in Millia's arc 222 chapter 356 I sincerely hope that this improves. Sorry if my English is not the best, greetings

Greetings and yes alot of ppl abandon it for thst. And Ima hit you with a minor spoiler. He gets with Monica and it's f*ck*ng ugly. Like the romance was already bad it gets horrendously worse with her. Reason is another girl is introduced named Jenna and within 2 days of meeting her and Khan are sleeping naked. yatta yatta yatta. He doesn't tell Monica, Jenna asserts her place and it's a big f*ck*ng mess. Made me drop it

Yeah it really is a shame, I tried so hard liking it. And it had a lot going for it outside of the romance. Too bad the author made it the main focus. Let me know tho. Rn moved to Kill the Sun.

I started this novel because of Birth of the Demonic Sword, as it's written by the same author. That novel is really good especially because the MC knows his worth and isn't a simp. He would rather kill his crush than let her become an obstacle in his pursuit of power, lmao. The romance there is also well written, and the fml is likable without being cringe, unlike this novel. Also, I'll take your advice and give this another try after my exams. Thanks!

In latest chapters i can only think about why author cant stop suggin on Khan's dlck. It's at the point where you see 2 chapters back to back nothing happens only people saying how Khan is op and to strong to be human. Its like an Adam Sandler movie. Anybody else feels like this?

I can only think of the romance as a flaw. Everything elde is absolutely perfect and captivating, power progression, character development, world-building... But you have to like, or at least endure through the heavy focus on romance.

Not really an apt comparasion. He only had monogamous relationships until now, and it's obvious his need to be in a relationship is a copying mechanism.

Kinda valid but I mean more so he flirts with everything like a menace until chapter 600+, which is around ⅔ of the book rn, I'm on the late 700s rn and he seems to have gotten a bit better but not by much, I'll admit it's not a super accurate comparison thouhh

I kinda like her also, but that's probably because liiza kinda feels left in the past now. but who knows maybe his current partner will get assassinated during their wedding. how insane that would be. doubt it tho

Ik Monica is end game; started stacking when they made the relationship public. I like Monica and all, i just though "When should i stop stacking? Hmm... When he meets Liiza is a good choice, I'm still extremely curious about her and the drama, omg the potential drama! Khan still loves her? She still loves Khan? Is she in a relationship? Mc parted with Liiza without any meaningful talks about the future, mc assumed she would follow her culture and start f*ck*ng everyone to move on, what if she didn't? She is waiting for him? She will pursue the mc romantically again? Will she feel betrayed? How Khan will feel? Will this end up in a thr**s*m*? How will Monica react? The two love interests will form a good and healthy friendship?" And so much more I NEED to know what happens, I'm not alone in this right? Am I the only one invested? I'm on the verge of brainwashing my friends to make them read the novel and talk with me abt it, i can't be the only being on earth so anxious about ths.

Lol maybe not this much, but curious yes. There was definitely potential and Khan has met his other ex. I don’t see why it wouldn’t eventually happen as he grows in power and reach in the alien sphere. Monica could become the target of future attacks for sure…but more in the future than sooner. Or a political incident involving Liiza’s people and Khans. I’m more of the opinion she moved on, not with multiple guys but maturing as a leader and person due to her situation. She might miss what they shared but that’s it imo. She’ll see Monica and be happy for him. The only way I see it happening is if Monica is out of the picture, and Liiza coming to fill that void m.
