Astral Pet Store (WN)

The novel is really well done because it combined Alot of things that captivate people really well. It was kind of a Pokemon/Cultivation novel but it was really interesting because we saw how he began to see his spiritual pets as family and how he went through things that no man would do for his family. The problem is that after a couple hundred chapters I don't remember exactly when maybe after 1000 it begins to gloss over characters and abilities and it lacks the attention to detail it originally had in the start. Regardless I think it deserves a 4. 5 but not a 5 because the novel was amazing and a great read. It did A lot of things well but the Chinese face-slap trend got old after a bit and it became more about introducing random tropes and wish fulfillment than anything else. I wish they had a better ending where we could really see what happened I liked the Heavenly Dao becoming a pet but It could of had a final ending better than reopening the store.

This novel is a good read despite its rather annoying yet emotional twists and turns and how it made me cry every few chapters because of everyone's backstory. Hope you guys find this novel a good one like I did.

i like it, the camaraderie, the system, the pet, its just that, the system already said, everything can be trained, so. . . why not train human? not as pet, but basically as army, they would have created the greatest army, still, i like reading it, last hundred chapter seems rushed from the moment he became undying but glad i finished reading it.

It took me 2 months to finally finish this wn. Many times, I've wanted to drop it due to a plot hole and usless filler, but i carried on and was not disappointed. It feels like the author is ( or mc was written as) on the autism spectrum (my speculation). This leads to an interesting read. If you are looking for out of the box, you have found it. 😃 Finished 2025.

I have a habit of writing down the unique features of each novel after reading it that set it apart from other novels I've read, and in the case of this novel; it was the most complete novel I've read.

I like the concept of this and how author has focused on some other characters too, although not much. The backstory of the antagonist and the system is good too. The difference between the last two realm is what made me happy, it showed the clear difference that you can't overcome the difference unless you have other people's support. You can't solo it. It's true that things become rushed in the end but the ending was satisfying.

The first 200 chp. were very good unfortunately later there are repetitions and the author forgets what he was writing about which makes the threads cut off, the main character also sometimes has bipolarity, there are also a lot of stupid antagonists bad because bad. The main plot is interesting and it is for it that I finished this novel as far as the progression system is concerned it is average as are the fights although these on the slight plus side.

The novel was great when I started off but after i think 200 or 300 chapters the story goes off the rails. I hated the competitions it was so repetitive and hard to follow. The novel also had issues with character development for instance there was a character going by the description of having a wooden sword. Others had almost similar names making it had to distinguish. The growth of the MC to me was not natural like he woukd only grow when the author so fit. The system also wasnt really well embrassed in this novel and that even made the story worse coz there were scenarios if it step in the story would have been better. The power levels were just confusing as you read the later chapters and also coz different areas used different names for the levels. My deal breaker was that the MC was dumb and that story wasnt even about a pet shop but more of a story of the owner of said shop. I'm even lost for words. Because of this many reasons I wasnt able to finish the novel

The story and concept start out very strong, but sadly that doesn't last. I would say the novel is around a 4. 5 at the very beginning, but basically the second the MC gets any direct power himself that all derails. I tried to struggle through and got to around chapter 750 just because I love the concept so much but it was not worth it. The author turns the story into just: mc meets young ego master, mc face slaps them for 1-3 chapters straight. Further plot slightly, then return to face slapping and repeat. It gets beyond repetitive and isn't enjoyable to read. If you enjoy that sort of thing then the novel is probably a 4 or 5/5.
