In the sub-genre of weak to strong, transmigration, this novel is peak. In genre of cultivation, I can say that it can stand shoulder to shoulder with reverend insanity.

Not my cup of tea. Too many unnecessary details and information and many b*llsh*t plot . It seems like a "smart" plot but the author really drags out things so it become really boring for me. . . but if you like novels with detail information and a little drag out plot this might be for you. (Honestly I really dislike unnecessary sh*t so this is not for me)

Splendid story. MC is cunning and his plots and schemes are very intriguing. The author has done a fantastic job of building up a cultivation world with well thought out political power structure. The moral aspect of the story is also very thought provoking and the characters are likable. This definitely one of the best cultivation novels I have read and I highly recommend it.

Really good cultivation novel, gives us a good world building where we want to learn more about it. Good plot, not an overly OP mc just because he gets a legacy, plus a really good cultivation system where even when it looks simple we get to learn more and more. Cultivation feels genuine as characters really have to take time to advance instead of just advancing 4 grand realms in one go. Recommend for sure

Absolutely fantastic. Great world building, phenomenal pacing, and characters with actual dimensions in a Chinese work? I'm genuinely amazed. Not only that but the world so far is consistent with knowledge given to the reader and how characters interact within it! The characters are bound by actual "laws" they have to abide by as "living" things within the story and not something changed for writing convenience. The main character is actually intelligent, not just apparently smart because the author says so. Secondary characters that in any other story would just be throwaway villain's for a cheap plotline aren't! They have legitimate motivations, and don't simply do something for the sake of moving the story forward! The main character also isn't uber powerful compared to his peers right off the bat, not even the whole "oh I must hide because I am not actual that strong Tee-Hee!" as they always beat every single "opponent" given to them because no one actually stronger than them shows up in any actual capacity stupidity. As of chapter 54, the main character has barely been able to actual start to cultivate! For once the cultivation itself isn't the entire story but just a piece of a greater whole! An actual plot device used along side everything else as a cohesive narrative! It feels so, so rare that a Chinese work has any actual substance to itself, let alone a story of actual quality. So far? Bravo!

One of the better translated cultivation novels. Not only does the main character actually know how to use his brain, but the side characters are smart too. They aren't the generic young masters who court death but they have schemes and are rational. Of course, there are characters whose only purpose is to be slaughtered and crushed but there haven't been too many of them so far. One of the most surprising things in the story is the amount character development for one of the dumb and cowardly young masters. The author actually spent the time to make the young master learn from his mistakes and become a person befitting of their status. 5/5 so far.
