Amon, The Legendary Overlord

The translation is horrid from around chapter 90 onwards. Typical wish fulfillment story with a hint of poorly written sm*t thrown in and terrible power scaling.

I’m giving this 5 stars because it’s genuinely a good series the plot is very interesting and the story building is also very well done. The characters are also pretty well done though they can be stereotypical but I haven’t read a single WN that doesn’t have a few. The harem build is also well done, in some WN the mc just has like three girls and sticks with them even though he has flirted with several female characters or in another example the mc is constantly getting a new girl. Anyways I wouldn’t say it’s a perfect 10/10 solely because the writing can get confusing at times which can be partially blamed in the translation (not saying I blame the translators) it’s just some stuff can get lost in translation. It’s a solid 9 from me

The story has potential. Mc is op and has mind set on his goals which I like. Just that it didn't explain about world structure in the start and about wt the genes are. It has some cliches but most novel have them so it can be ignored. . Let's see how it progresses. . 👍

Read it till the latest chapter as of now(67). It's very hit and miss. So many cliches and tropes that are way too overused. Don't expect much here, just leave and read something else, unless you have way too much time on your hands. 2 stars only because of the fact that that the start is interesting.

MC is honestly a male Mary Sue. This story has the cliche, typical OP cool uncaring MC who changes his attitude after talking with most beautiful women who instantly like him.

At first it is quite an interesting story but as the story goes on. the writer are focusing more on harem which i think spoil the story overall. if the writer focus on the growth of mc itself, i think this will became top novel.

Well, I will give it the benefit of the doubt with a 3 star, since I dropped it after the 5th chapter. Honestly, I expected more. The main character seems, fine(?) I guess, since we know almost nothing about him, support characters are not too bad and the setting is, well it's about a teenager in school with anger problems, mixed with a system. Personaly, I don't like the writing style, maybe it will get better later on, but right now it's like a mandatory essay written by a 12 yo.

The story is disappointing, its the same author as Rise of the White Dragon. So I have read most chapters(Idk about last few chapters I dropped) and its bad, like there's nothing that makes me want to read the next chapter. There's nothing special about this story and its boring. The protagonist is your generic "cool" protagonist the sexy, cold, op guy who doesn't care about anybody but his behavior changes around the deuteragonists. I like an op character but the protagonist has no oomph to his character, an op character with attitude is pretty good like Misfit of The Demon King Academy (anime). There's some smut, I'm not a huge fan of smut in novels like I came for a good unique story, If I wanted p*rn I would have gone to phub. The female characters have no depth and they are also generic- most beautiful people, they meet the cool and cold protagonist and they instantly like him, there's nothing defining the characters they're just meat bags conversing with each other in this novel.

Story is trash . Just a teenage wish fulfillment . No suspense , no surprise , no tragedy , no dilemma , no character growth , no sense of direction in this story . Just a good timepass . 2 star cuz it has humour and is a good timepass .
