itd be a four if it was still ongoing tbh lol for the beginning it was just a brain off goober / gooner read but started having the fantasy / mystery / action stuff kicking in and i got invested in that and esp by the last 50 chapters it fully takes over but then it got cut cause of chinese official apparantly :( there is zero reason to pick up a novel that has been discontinued unless you have read everything else so i guess focus on other things first then if you really must then come here
I liked this story. I would give a solid 4 stars. I do have some minor criticisms and agree with some of the other reviewers. The title would imply the extensive use of a Dating Sim System. However the fact that it does not happen often doesn't make the story bad. There is good character development, layers of hidden mysteries and plot. The school slice of life is also well done. I especially like the MC because he isn't the trope of "you insulted/bullied me, therefore your entire family must die. " Instead while he can be rough, he's actually kind. And yes the MC gets very powerful. . . just like 99% of the stories here. . . but the journey is worthwhile. My only real concern is the duplicate chapters/paragraphs and missing chapters. Unfortunately they happen during a boss fight. . . or at major plot turning points. Other than that the translation is quite good, better than most. Overall worth reading.
It has a interesting beginning then it starts to lose its touch or simply it becomes kinda boring to be honset. Also if its a dating system wont you expect him to use relations ship skill/abilites of system but we dont see much of that.
honestly if you are just here for your clasical harem trash you shoud prepare to either have your expextations compleatly blown of the park or be disapointed for the lack of trashiness from the mc honestly some of the best shit ive read and im kinda glad i got clickbaited into reading it by the title
I found a reading by much very entertaining, beyond what the title lets see, although it is not a classical and professional structure, it is there where it shows its strengths not being conventional, although many will say that it is full of clichés in some points, I personally believe that the way to narrate the story is what makes it entertaining, the heroines are attractive, the prota is sometimes a patand but fun, and although not everything is about the dating system is exactly where It lies its strengths, you will not find a story of a single topic repeated until you will be exhausted, sometimes it will be about life, sometimes it will be adventure, sometimes you will be battles, others will be a school comedy.
All these issues in an exquisite literary balance, although it is not a masterpiece is very funny to read, and it really is not so necessary to be aware of every detail, now the protagonist is a mix between the classic Harem protagonist and a real sensible person , which sometimes leaves a bittersweet taste in the romantic part of the novel, but it is a department that is not an inept and very slow but solid creates an entertaining development with each of the target girls (with some light sexual moments ).
without more than saying it does not underestimate this story or they will be wanting more before realizing it, it's very very good
While I do feel that a 5 star is a bit much, it's more a 4 star, it is to balance what I thought is a bit too harsh a complaint by the other two reviews.
The novel is a light-hearted story of a reincarnated person possessing the body of a NEET. The story doesn't really expand on the character of the reincarnate, focusing instead on the relationship that he builds and Seiji Haruta's past.
Though I feel that the story gets a little bit Gary Stu-ish at points, its still an enjoyable read. Oh, and don't be fooled by the title. It's not that it's a Dating Game system, he just thinks it is.
This one had a lot of potential, but it fell flat, and it fell hard. Firstly, he has a dating sim system but he doesn’t use it for dating. And the dating sim system for some reason has basically every system in one. He can upgrade his appearance, fighting, control magic, TIME CONTROL. Why even call it that system if it’s used another way the entire time.
Alright, ultimately that’s just a small point that has no bearing on enjoyment so it’s forgivable. What really pisses me off is the rest. At the top of my hate list is the writing. HOW MANY TIMES CAN SOMEONE BE SPEECHLESS? A character or group of characters was, “left speechless” on average 3 times per chapter. I’m not sure about you guys, but to me, if you are speechless it’s because someone did something insane and should rarely happen. Really, the author or translator or editor or someone just has an attachment to the phrase when they should be using other things like “surprised, chuckles in disbelief, eyebrows raised, staring pointedly, etc” there’s so many alternatives man. I can’t remember what but there were 2 more phrases that were similarly annoying.
Onto the next complaint, the dude is way too perfect and has emotional intelligence bordering on omnipotence. I don’t care if he was a social worker in his past life, he should not immediately know what to say to every friend, family member, acquaintance, or love interest that perfectly suits the situation. Sure it’d be feasible if he used the system for it, but no, this man must have been Buddha in the past life because he possesses the ultimate wisdom without any help from his OP system. Overall, the guy is actually flawless, and it’s not normal. It becomes painful to read.
Finally, the rest, the plot, battles, and school stuff. Honestly, from the first time the Yin Yang Master was mentioned, the plot became convoluted. Literally, anything to do with the magical side of this world I was just thinking WTF? If you watched me reading from 150 onwards there actually might have been question marks above my head. It was so WTF I was saying “Wtf is this?” every few chapters. I have no idea what the author was going for, but nothing made sense at all plot-wise. It was really just a shitshow. It’s a bit sad because none of the ideas were bad plot and system-wise, but it really did fail hard. Anyway, I wouldn’t recommend this one unless you really don’t care about plot and you want to study the Divine Art of Social Working.
It has a interesting beginning (like 20 chapters?) then itstarts to become repetitive and boring, aldo for a novel called date sim system the guy barely usethe romance options (like 7 times in 100 chapters), he just use the stat boost system to become your cliche shounen character.
you stink
