The writing is heavily exaggerated, almost to the point of overinflation, which gives the impression that it's compensating for an inferiority complex... either on the part of the character or the narrative itself or the author's sense of nationalism. The reactions from every single character, from fellow actors to Cannes officials, are stretched to an almost unrealistic degree. It's as if the entire theater is collectively losing their minds over something that, while impressive, isn't unheard of. Fluency in multiple languages, while remarkable, is not so shocking that everyone... from Hollywood executives to Cannes jurors would react as though witnessing the Second Coming. The way people speculate about Kang Woojin’s background “Did he train in Europe?” “Could he be mixed race?” “Could he be living his second life?” is exaggerated to a desperate extent. The writing tries to hammer in the idea that this character is so incomprehensibly skilled that there'sno normal explanation
