I won't say much. The conclusion is fine for me and was logically crafted, though it didn’t go as I expected. I have mixed feelings about COI, but eventually, I came to understand it thanks to the author’s note. It may not be the perfect conclusion for this series, but it is undoubtedly a good one. The story takes you through highs and lows, you might feel hyped and excited at times while feeling too burned out to continue at others. But if you pick it up again, I’d say it’s worth it.

Having finished both LoTM and COI, I can once again say that cuttlefish has gone above and beyond to write this masterpiece. The new characters were written well and even the Tarot Club members were active throughout the story. The best thing is that Mc journey wasn't so lonely. My biggest regret was that I was already spoiled of many things before I started reading this. But don't worry even if you got spoiled of some major content, this novel still got more than enough to keep you at the edge. After all it's a reasonable development to like this book📝🧐

Wow, I finally finished reading "coi"and let me tell you, it was a wild ride! I'm not going to lie, I was initially skeptical about Lumian like other lotm readers. But as the story unfolded, he really grew on me. He became one of my favorite MCs, proving that even the most ordinary people can become extraordinary heroes. Cf did an incredible job of exploring the world of Beyonders. The sheer depth and complexity of the lore were fascinating. I loved the way the author seamlessly weaved together elements of previous part. The ending was both satisfying and bittersweet. I thought that ending would be some of the Great Old Ones and our side's gods would perish. In the end, it was our gods who suffered the most, even though they managed to survive the apocalypse. But even amidst the destruction, there was a sense of hope. PRAISE THE FOOL! PRAISE THE LORD OF MYSTERIES! 🛐 If you're looking for a captivating and thought-provoking read, "Lord of the Mysteries" is a must-read. A really solid read

It's a novel with high-quality writing, but the enjoyment level is significantly diminished compared to 'LOTM', and there aren't many memorable or impactful scenes

After all these months of continuously reading and analyzing every part of story , it consumed a lot of my brain and it seems like I gained some corruption as well😞 and praise to the CF who created such great and complex story . I have a lot of problems with this book, but I'll try to be concise. Characters The main cast is quite small, yet half of them serve only as comic relief—like Ludwig or Lugano. Antony, in particular, lacks any personality, characterization, or development beyond Book 2; he’s just there to participate in battles. The villains, being corrupted by the external god, are all rather mindless and lack compelling backstories or motivations. Unlike LOTM 1, they don’t have any depth that makes them truly engaging. Worldbuilding The aspects that made LOTM so captivating—digestion, rituals, and material research—have been greatly watered down, especially in Volumes 4, 5, and 6. Even Jenna is advancing faster than Klein, and while I understand that the weakening barrier makes progression easier, this only seems to apply to the main cast. Other factions remain practically unchanged: the City of Silver still has the same number of demigods, there are no new admirals, kings of the sea, bishops, or archbishops, and even organizations like the Aurora Order—despite having full control over their pathway—haven’t grown significantly. Plot Everything feels way too effortless. From Volume 2 onward, it’s obvious that none of the main cast are truly in danger, thanks to the protection of the Tarot Club and later, Adam and Amon. Corruption, which should be a major threat, has been reduced to nothing more than a convenient power boost for the protagonist. He can even resist the MCGOD’s corruption—something that a true god like Roselle couldn’t withstand. And even when they lose, they never suffer any significant consequences. Ludwig His entire presence feels meaningless. Everything about his character is so ridiculous that it doesn’t even deserve an explanation. Positives That being said, there are a few redeeming aspects of this book. Cuttlefish’s writing has improved compared to LOTM 1. The character interactions—especially between Lumian, Jenna, and Franca—are more engaging and relatable than most dynamics in the first book (even though LOTM 1 also had strong character relationships). Additionally, the elements that remained unchanged from LOTM 1 are still solid. [only 3 stars because the positives are from the 1st book, not the 2th one. ]

Continuation is a complicated thing, but I think it's unfair to compare, besides the COI It was undeniably well written, it just makes me think about the ending of some characters, but that's right, life is like that. I thank CF for providing us with such reading, and I tell you, it is worth it. It is very much worth reading.

I usually fear sequels but Cuttlefish cooked again like he always has. Although I was initially turned off by the fact there was a new protagonist (no longer Klein), Lumian was actually a very well written character. His personality, values and growth were interesting to read. Another thing that made the book amazing was how smoothly the 1st book segues into this one. Hearing and seeing some of our favourites from Book 1 like Klein and the Tarot Club, Amon, etc. , made the book exciting to read. I would've loved to have a 3rd book but I can't deny that Cuttlefish gave it a good finish. Not perfect cause as a reader we always want more (😅) but the ending was something that made sense with the previous book and established system. Thank you Cuttlefish for creating the world of Lord of the Mysteries 🙇🏽‍♂️

Amazing continuation of Book 1 where its not just placeholder mob mc till Klein returns with repeat of Book 1 events but instead masterfully executed continuation of LoTM world few years after events of book 1 where we explore the world from different perspective (ofc you get super often characters from book 1). . . but theres ONE thing Id like to mention, its the fact that stupid, fanatical, glazing, heretics that proclaim themselves to be LoTM fans ruined this book and caused no book 3, Cuttlefish was forced to rewrite tons of chapters of Book 2 several times cause whiny readers on official site wanted more braindead book thats just carbon copy of book 1: Waiting for Klein, it went so far that Cuttlefish got tired of it and jumbled content of 2 books into 1 so he doesnt have to deal with whiny kids. . . so you can thank stupid whiny heretics that there wont be book 3 of LoTM.

I'd say a solid 8. 7 to 8. 9 in rating. It definitely felt more rushed than LOTM. and LOTM was already rushed. But I kind of don't hate the ending, as it could lead into book 3 quite easily.

what book 3? there will certainly not going to be a book 3, I am sure author regrets writing book 2 in the first place, he wrote himself into a dumpster fire/dead end, any spin off and further story will only be worse than previous
